Mancunians showed their gratitude to our NHS heroes once more as they joined hands to clap for carers on the frontline during the coronavirus pandemic.
People across the region banged pots and pans and cheered in unison as they burst into a round of applause at their doorsteps and on their balconies.
Clap For Our Carers has become a weekly ritual at 8pm every Thursday to celebrate the key workers helping the ill and vulnerable across the nation.
People posted videos on social media during the nationwide clap. Jane Fairweather posted a video of security guards clapping outside the Nightingale North West field hospital.
