Greater Manchester's 10 councils will be given a quarter of a billion pounds next year that they can only spend on one thing.
The ring-fenced grant for public health has been confirmed by the government with nearly £13m more given to Greater Manchester.
The funding will help councils pay for sexual health services, smoking cessation programmes and drug treatment among other things.
