Granit Xhaka is reportedly leading the players' revolt at Arsenal after the club announced plans to make 55 members of staff redundant.
revealed on Thursday that senior players want talks with the Gunners' hierarchy following the announcement the previous day that employees including scouts and backroom staff are to lose their jobs.
The news came even as Arsenal closed in on what is expected to be a bumper new deal to keep star forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang at the club.
And the Gunners are also set to sign Willian on a £150,000-per-week, three-year contract, including a sizeable signing-on fee as the winger becomes a free agent.
