Susanna Reid asked Good Morning Britain viewers not to 'panic' as she signed off from her latest show on Thursday (March 28).

The broadcaster was back at the helm of the ITV news programme for the penultimate show of the week with Richard Madeley. After a jam-packed show full of the latest breaking news, debates and celebrity guests, Susanna made an announcement before handing over to Lorraine Kelly for her self-titled show to begin at 9am.

She said: "That brings us to the end of Good Morning Britain, back tomorrow from 6. I'm off for Easter, please don't panic, will be back in a couple of weeks!" Richard quipped: "Lucky old you!" before the programme came to a quick end. She was on hand to deliver the news to Lorraine that she will receive a special prize at the Bafta television awards in recognition of her 40 years in broadcasting.
