Good Morning Britain's Richard Madeley made a quick dash from the ITV studio, leaving his co-host Susanna Reid worried for his wellbeing during Tuesday's episode (November 19).The presenters were discussing the day's top stories, including an amber weather warning issued across parts of the UK.
A severe snow alert was in place for major motorways as temperatures dropped overnight. After updating viewers on the weather warnings, Susanna revealed that Richard had ventured outside to check if it was snowing. "We can't get a live update to him just at this moment," she said.
As footage from outside the studio played, Susanna asked weather presenter Des Coleman if they were seeing sleet or snow. "Well snow has a tendency to settle," Des clarified. "I haven't seen any settling snow out there, I'm not saying that there's not, but we'll have to wait and see." Upon returning to the studio, 68 year old presenter Richard announced: "It is absolutely tipping down with snow.", reports the Express.
Richard explained that the snow had started while he was outside, adding: "Suddenly, it's happened. We've taped it. We'll show you the pictures in a minute.
