Girl, 7, left covered in blood after being 'struck by hit-and-run driver'

A seven-year-old girl was left "covered in blood" after she was knocked over in a suspected hit and run. Aurelia Lloyd-Carrick was struck by a car in Grantchester, just outside her family home, on Saturday, Cambridgeshire Live reports.

She was left lying in the street with blood pouring from her head, before quickly being found by another motorist who brought her home, her distraught dad Michael said.

He said: "We were horrified. "She was covered in blood. We took her to hospital straight away." Aurelia remains at Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge receiving treatment.
