GB News' director of programming has quit amid an ongoing row over taking the knee.The fledgling channel has been engulfed in a major storm after presenter Guto Harri took the knee live on air.The move was intended to show solidarity to the Black Lives Matter movement and racism in the UK.However, many GB News viewers were outraged by the move.Senior executive John McAndrew is reported to have walked from the channel after a 'clash with bosses' over their response.The Guardian claim he decided to quit after coming under pressure to favour ‘culture war’ topics.He was said to have been asked to "dial down" the focus on local reporting.Earlier this week GB News issued a statement after Harri took the knee.
