Phil Foden has been left “isolated” on the left wing during the Manchester derby, claims Manchester United legend Gary Neville .
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola handed the 19-year-old a rare Premier League start, just his third of the season, in the highly anticipated derby clash after a man of the match display in the Carabao Cup final against Aston Villa.
Foden assisted Sergio Aguero’s opener in that game but Neville believes he struggled to get involved in the game in the opening 45 minutes. “We haven’t seen anything from Phil Foden,” said Neville, speaking on co-commentary for Sky Sports. “He has been isolated on that left-hand side.
