Former Manchester United duo Gary Neville and Peter Schmeichel are both in the opinion that turning to Antonio Conte to replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as manager would be the wrong decision.
As revealed by the Manchester Evening News, Conte is understood to be open to replacing Solskjaer at Old Trafford, if United decide to pull the plug on the Norwegian's tenure.
Solskjaer is under enormous pressure from a rapidly increasing number of United supporters following Sunday's embarrassing 5-0 defeat at home to Liverpool, in which United's winless run in the Premier League was extended to four matches in devastating fashion.
