That’s up 31% over the 2023 show at 118 million livestreams. Per the Game Awards, which marked its 10-year anniversary with the 2024 show, the 2024 viewership high was reached with streams across YouTube, Twitch, Steam, TikTok Live, X, Instagram Live, and Facebook.
Additionally, show hit its global viewership milestone amid a record number of platforms streaming in China including Bilbili, Huya, Weibo, WeChat, Douyin, Zhihu, DouYu, Baidu, NetEase CC, Tencent Video, QQ, Kuishou, HeyBox; in South Korea or CHZZK and Soop, and NicoNico in Japan.
Unlike most other high-profile awards shows, the indie event hosted by gaming industry star Geoff Keighley does not have an exclusive streaming deal with a network or streaming service.
