Benidorm creator Derren Litten has spilled the tea on the future of the much-loved ITV series.The popular show, which ran from 2007 to 2018, gave us a peek into the hilarious world of British holidaymakers soaking up the sun at the Spanish resort.The talented Derren not only penned the series but also starred alongside fan favourites like Sherrie Hewson, Steve Pemberton, and Siobhan Finneran.
As fans have been clamouring for the return of the iconic sitcom after a six-year hiatus, Derren has finally addressed the burning question in a candid interview, dashing hopes by confessing that a comeback might just be wishful thinking.
He said: "I'm gonna answer it honestly because I always sort of dodge this question and say 'Never say never'. But at the moment I would say and it's not the answer I think people want, which is a bit controversial but I think the time has passed."
