The mayor of New York has been slammed for singling out the Orthodox Jewish community for ignoring social distancing guidelines - even threatening them with arrest.
That is despite the fact Bill de Blasio travelled 11 miles from his home to go for a walk days earlier. The NYC mayor said on Tuesday he has instructed police to arrest mourners at funerals and anyone gathering in large groups in a new 'zero tolerance' approach to stop the spread of coronavirus.
A few days earlier Mr de Blasio and his wife were heckled by locals as they walked through Prospect Park in Brooklyn, despite living 11 miles away in Manhattan.
