Nicola Sturgeon has urged Scots not to travel to areas of England that are deemed to have ‘high’ or ‘very high’ rates of coronavirus infection.
The First Minister said that a growing number of Covid-19 infections in Scotland were linked to travel outside of the country.NHS Scotland’s Test and Protect figures revealed that 252 people who tested positive for the virus in the last week reported some form of travel to other parts of the UK.
Blackpool is an area of significant concern, as the latest statistics have revealed that around 180 people in Scotland with Covid in the last month reported that they had visited the English tourist hotspot.
