From tomorrow morning anyone who gets a call from the NHS must self-isolate - even if they don't have coronavirus symptoms. Announcing the launch of the new NHS Test and Trace system Health Secretary Matt Hancock said anyone with coronavirus will have their contacts traced in a bid to control the spread of Covid-19 and help ease lockdown.
And that means anyone who has been in touch with someone with Covid-19 will also have to isolate. Describing it as a 'incredibly important milestone for the country', Mr Hancock said test and trace was a 'national effort and we all have a role'.
And he warned while initially the measures would be voluntary, they could be made mandatory 'if that's what it takes'. He said: "We must all follow the NHS Test
