The January transfer window has closed and clubs can no longer sign players under contract until the summer. However, players who are currently free agents can still be snapped up, and there's a plethora of talent still available in the market.
Manchester United didn’t add to their squad in the January window, but did allow the likes of Anthony Martial and Donny van de Beek to leave on loan.
City meanwhile signed River Plate striker Julian Alvarez, but the Argentine won't join Pep Guardiola's side until the summer at the earliest.
They also sold Ferran Torres to Barcelona and sanctioned a number of loans and transfers away from the Etihad. Both squads look in good shape going into the second half of the season, but there is still quality in the market for the Manchester clubs to look at.
