Loan moves failed to materialise for both Dean Henderson and Jesse Lingard, however, meaning they will remain at Old Trafford and fight for their places, as they look to force their way into Rangnick's thinking.
Despite the England duo failing to secure temporary exits, United still have 17 players out on loan, the majority of whom will be looking to return to Old Trafford in the summer with more experience and first-team minutes under their belts.
