Frantic search launched for missing Airdrie woman after early hours disappearance

Police have launched a frantic search for a missing Airdrie woman after her 'out of character' disappearance.Margaret O’Reilly was last seen around 6.30am on Monday February 12 in Scott's Place in Airdrie.The 58-year-old is around 5ft 8ins with a slim build.

She has long, blond hair and wears glasses. It is not known what she is wearing at the time, but she tends to wear blue jeans.Extensive enquiries have been carried out by police but attempts to locate Margaret have so far proved unsuccessful.Sergeant Alister Thom said: “This is very out of character for Margaret, she maintains contact with her family and they are understandably very concerned about her.
