Liverpool were absolutely humiliated in Naples on Wednesday night, with the hosts Napoli winning 4-1 against a completely shell-shocked Jurgen Klopp side.The game got off the to the worst possible start for the Reds as James Milner conceded a penalty inside five minutes, and Piotr Zielinski converted with ease from the spot.
But it got worse after the half hour mark, as mistakes from Joe Gomez meant that Liverpool trailed 3-0 at the break following strikes from Andre Zambo Anguissa and Giovanni Simeone.Just when you thought it couldn't get any worse, Zielinski scored just 90 seconds after the restart, but Luis Diaz restored a bit of order as he got one back two minutes later.

But Milner was named in the starting line-up next to Fabinho and Harvey Elliott.Milner has been a brilliant servant to Liverpool, and fully deserves all his plaudits, but it was the wrong choice from Klopp on Wednesday as the 36-year-old was overwhelmed from the start.
