Four horses die after collision involving two lorries on A9 near Perth

Perth. One of the lorries, which was stationary at the time, was carrying four horses to the Blair Castle International Horse Trials.Two of the horses died at the scene while two others were later euthanised.Two men were taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee following the incident, which happened at about 2.45pm on Tuesday.The road was closed until 9.30pm.A statement on the competition's Facebook page described the incident as "heartbreaking" and sent its sympathies to the horse owners.The owners of the horses have said their "world has been turned upside down" by the heartbreaking loss.
