Rafael da Silva has stuck the boot into Manchester United and blamed poor transfers for his former club's title drought. United have not won the Premier League since 2013, when Sir Alex Ferguson landed it in his final season before retiring as manager.
Since then United have hired and fired three managers as well as signed some expensive flops in the shape of Angel di Maria, Memphis Depay, Radamel Falcao, Morgan Schneiderlin and Marcos Rojo.
Rafael was part of the last United side to be crowned English champions and believes the club's recent lack of success is down to a flawed transfer strategy which saw them target big names - as opposed to the right ones.
