Erskine woman Julie McAddock began experimenting with drugs and, by 18, her life had spiralled out of control due to a crippling heroin addiction.Julie spent many years living in Paisley, where she said taking drugs ruined her life and left her feeling hopeless.A young mum to two children, who were born in her teens, Julie spent eight years falling deeper into addiction before realising she needed help.Now, the determined mum-of-four has transformed her life and has been free of drugs for 11 years.She is the co-founder of charity Street Connect alongside Ricky, her husband of eight years, and they have both dedicated their lives to helping other people struggling with addiction.Julie, 37, told the Express: “I was completely lost for so many.
