Foreign Office adds Thailand to travel corridors - but the country isn't accepting tourists

The FCDO has added Thailand to its travel corridor list - despite the fact that the country currently isn't accepting tourists.

Secretary of State for Transport Grant Shapps announced on Twitter that Thailand, along with Singapore, was being added to the corridor list, meaning that Brits returning from the destinations won't be required to quarantine for 14 days.

Meanwhile, under the latest travel changes, Slovenia and Guadeloupe have been removed from the travel corridor lists. The new advice has already come into effect.

However, this doesn't mean that Thailand holidays are back on the cards for Brits. Currently, the country has closed its borders to tourists due to the pandemic, with only 'certain categories of foreign nationals'
