A flight to Manchester was forced to make an 'emergency' diversion in the Middle East on Sunday (December 1). The Gulf Air flight, from Bahrain to Manchester Airport made the sudden landing in Kuwait City around an hour after take off in the early hours of the morning.
Videos shared to social media appeared to show emergency crews meeting the aircraft after landing. There are reports of an engine fault and fire on board being the reason for the landing, but this is yet to be confirmed by the airline.

The Embassy of India said in a post on X: "[The] embassy had immediately taken up the matter with Gulf Air in Kuwait. A team from Embassy is at the airport to assist the passengers and coordinate with the airline.
