A five-storey apartment block could be built on the site of an old Stockport pub. The plans would see the old Woodman Inn, in Hazel Grove, flattened and replaced with 34 one and two-bedroom flats.
All the new homes would be available for social rent through Stockport Homes, which manages the council’s housing stock. A document submitted in support of the application says developer Kirkland Developments is ‘committed to delivering a high quality scheme’ at the London Road site.
