First dogs Major and Champ move into the White House with the Bidens

Now the drama around the US Inauguration has died down, the cutest members of the Biden administration can make themselves comfortable in the White House.

Major and Champ aka the first dogs officially moved into their new home over the weekend carrying on the long-standing tradition of presidential pets that goes all the way back to the third president Thomas Jefferson who kept a pet magpie of all things.

That said, Kamala Harris victory as the first female and woman of colour to claim the Vice Presidency isn’t the only historic first to come from the election as Major is the first rescue dog to take up residency at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
