Firefighters rushed to the scene of a blaze at a home in Bolton. They were called to reports of a fire on Albert Road in Farnworth this evening.
Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said the incident involved a chimney fire. Firefighters spent about 40 minutes at the scene extinguishing the blaze.
No injuries were reported. Specialist equipment was used as part of the response. Pictures from the scene showed firefighters climbing up the building using ladders.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said: “At around 6.10pm today (Saturday 8 February) fire crews were called to reports of a fire at a domestic property on Albert Road in Farnworth.
