dailyrecord.co.ukSouth Ayrshire has today been affected by a Covid-19 closure. Tempura Ayr announced this afternoon they would temporarily shut with immediate effect after the partner of a staff member tested positive.
The popular deep-fried eaterie on the town's Beresford Terrace confirmed that “no staff have tested positive” but they were pulling down their shutters as a “precautionary measure” due to their close-knit team.
Tempura hope to reopen in time for the weekend if given the all-clear via negative Covid tests. Their closure announcement follows four other eateries in the area who shut up shop last week due to positive tests: The Smoking Goat, The Fox & Willow, The Growler and Scotts in Troon.
