Fernanda Torres faced a unique struggle after winning Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture, Drama at the 2025 Golden Globes earlier this month.
The 59-year-old actress won the award for her work on I’m Still Here. However, shortly after the awards ceremony, Los Angeles was hit by uncontrolled fires and many people, including Fernanda and her husband, had to evacuate.
During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, the actress revealed what she did with her award as she traveled to New York. Keep reading to find out more… On the late-night show, Fernanda explained that she and her husband were forced to evacuate before she could hand off the Golden Globe to a producer who was going to take it home to Brazil for her. “Now I’m carrying it with me.
And I mean you can kill someone; it is very heavy,” she said. The actress was headed to New York for another appearance, and she had to take her award on the flight with her.
