Bruno Miguel Borges Fernandes (born 8 September 1994) is a Portuguese footballer who plays for Primeira Liga club Sporting CP and the Portugal national team as a midfielder. Fernandes started his career at Serie B side Novara Calcio and soon featured for Udinese and Sampdoria in Serie A.
In 2017, he signed with Sporting CP where he established himself as one of the best players in the Primeira Liga. He was named the LPFP Primeira Liga Player of the Year in both 2017–18 and 2018–19. In the latter season, he also helped Sporting win the Taça de Portugal. A senior international since 2017, Fernandes represented Portugal at the 2016 Summer Olympics and 2018 FIFA World Cup.
Jose Mourinho was trying to get into Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes’ head, fans think, as footage emerged of him making a cheeky comment to the midfielder.The Portuguese boss saw his Tottenham side draw 1-1 with his former team in their Premier League return on Friday.Fernandes was the hero for the Red Devils, slotting a penalty in the second half which Paul Pogba won.But footage has emerged of Mourinho in a bizarre exchange with the midfielder before the equaliser which fans believe was a tactic.In the clip, there are just under 20 minutes of play left at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.There is a pause in play, which sees Fernandes head towards the sideline to pickup the ball – and Mourinho takes the chance to say something to him.
