The family of a Celtic fan who vanished in Lanzarote last year have released details of his movement on the island. Gary Watson Shearer, from Renfrew, went missing on March 16, after jetting out to Puerto Del Carmen in Lanzarote alone to celebrate St Patrick's Day.
The 53-year-old has not been seen since he was last spotted in the Bar 67 pub that same night. The family are set to issue a new appeal in the coming days but ahead of that they have released a new timeline detailing his known movements after arriving at the holiday resort.
Gary arrived at the Oasis Apartments in the Puerto Del Carmen resort and sent a picture to his family as he sat by the poolside.
He put some items into the safe in his hotel room and took €70 from his spending money with him. An envelope was later discovered by the Spanish cops inside the safe with the rest of his euros and a receipt showing how much he exchanged.
