Falkirkswimming pool which was closed this morning has been re-opened after an unexpected chemical delivery. The pool at the Mariner Centre was due be shut for a few days due to a shortage of a chemical needed to ensure water quality.The Falkirk Community Trust had previously said that they hoped it would be re-opened for public use towards the end of the week.They wrote online: "We are sorry to inform our customers that the leisure pool at the Mariner Centre will be closed for a few days; this is due to a UK-wide shortage of a specific chemical needed in swimming pools to ensure the pool water quality."Our supplier is doing everything they can and as quickly as they can to source this chemical.
