The Tories have been blasted for "gambling with lives" as plans to double the number of asylum seekers at an East Kilbride hotel were revealed today.The Home Office are moving to increase capacity at contingency accommodation at the Bruce Hotel - doubling the number of displaced migrants from 65 to 130 with two sharing a room.Slamming the government plans, Central Scotland Labour and Co-Operative Party MSP, Monica Lennon, said: "By cramming vulnerable people into hotel bedrooms, the Tory government is gambling with lives."It’s no way to treat cattle never mind people who have experienced the trauma of war, persecution or disaster."The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
