Solar flares are measured on a scale of one to five, with five being the strongest.The geomagnetic storm can cause disruption to power grids and radios.The US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) believe that the area affected by impact of the flare will primarily be 'poleward' of 55 to 65 degrees Geomagnetic Latitude.
