Former Tory MP Edwina Currie has caused a ruckus by mistaking an old WWE clip for panic shoppers in Asda. It came after a wrestling fan tweeted a classic clip of Stone Cold Steve Austin and Booker T wrestling through a supermarket, jokingly linking it to panic shoppers amid the coronavirus crisis.

The video was captioned, "Disgusting scenes in Asda Havant today when it should have been a time for the elderly and NHS staff, please retweet to name and shame..." Ms Currie, 73, fell for the obvious gaff.

The former MP for South Derbyshire tweeted: "You sure this isn’t staged? Nobody else around, no security staff, and whoever is filming is managing to get all the angles." The raucous clip showed Austin throwing punches and flinging Booker T
