Former Premier League referee Mark Clattenburg says Dominic Calvert-Lewin's late disallowed goal for Everton against Manchester United should have stood.

The Toffees striker's deflected effort wrong-footed David de Gea and appeared to have given the hosts all three points at Goodison Park.

But the goal was ruled out by VAR with Gylfi Sigurdsson - who was on the turf in front of De Gea and in an offside position - deemed to be active.

It was a controversial decision with Sigurdsson seemingly not in De Gea's line of sight, though the Icelandic international did pull his foot out of the way to allow the ball to hit the back of the net.
