Evan Peters has publicly apologised on Twitter for any offence he may have caused, after he appeared to re-tweet footage of protestors being tackled by police.
Anti-racism demonstrations are currently taking place across the US, and globally, in protest of the death of George Floyd – a 46-year-old black man who died after he was arrested and a white police officer knelt on his neck.
Evan, who hasn’t been active on Twitter in nearly three months, apologised for causing any offence and insisted he ‘unknowingly re-tweeted’ a video of news footage showing police officers tackling a protestor to the ground.
