Garcia was injured in City's 3-0 Premier League win over Arsenal on Wednesday as he collided with goalkeeper Ederson, who had raced out of his area to clear a forward ball.
The young defender, who had been handed a start in defence, required ten minutes of treatment on the field, before he was strapped up and stretchered off the pitch.
He spent the night in hospital before being released yesterday.In a statement on Thursday, City said Garcia was taken to Manchester Royal Infirmary Hospital after the game as a precaution for further tests.
