Beloved Emmerdale star Chris Chittell has opened up on his worries over past appearances in X-rated adult movies before landing his role on the ITV series.
Chris, 75, has been on Emmerdale since 1986, and is the soap’s longest-serving cast member. His character Eric Pollard was originally introduced as a villain but has softened out in recent years.
But before his soap career, Chris featured in a number of Swedish sex films in the 1970s, which he feared would ruin his career later down the line.
He starred in Sex in Sweden, Practice Makes Perfect and Let Us Play Sex, with the latter featuring a young Stellan Skarsgård.
