The character, played by Lucy Pargeter, is currently having a holiday away from the village with her daughter, Eve, after being diagnosed with breast cancer.
The ITV soap is working with Breast Cancer Now to portray Chas's journey with triple-negative breast cancer, the same disease her mum Faith Dingle suffered from before her tragic death in 2022.
Chas initially kept the news to herself with Liam Cavanagh, who first discovered the lump in her breast during an intimate moment between the pair, the only one there for her as she attended the devastating appointment.
