The nasty detective, who is played by Mark Womack, has brought drugs and crime into the village over the last few weeks. The new villain, who was blackmailing Will Taylor over a gun, has now got Cain Dingle and Billy Fletcher doing his bidding.
DI Malone caused most offence when he threatened to get Billy sent down for a fabricated GBH charge - claiming he had a host of bent officers under his control.
