Detectives investigating the death of tragic Cardiff striker Emiliano Sala have confirmed that Dorset Police will be taking no further action against a man arrested on suspicion of manslaughter by an unlawful act.

Sala died in a plane crash on January 21 last year while flying back to Wales from France following his transfer to Cardiff City that month.

The striker had moved to the then-Premier League side from Ligue 1 outfit Nantes, but he never got the chance to make an appearance for the Bluebirds.

The Piper Malibu aircraft he was travelling in plunged into the Channel, killing Sala, while the pilot was never found. Sala's body was recovered from the wreckage on February 7 as the football world mourned the death of the Argentinian.
