Christmas pudding has long been a staple of many festive feasts, but a new report has found that just 44 per cent of households will be tucking into the traditional treat this year.
The Tesco Christmas Report revealed that six in 10 (59%) of over-55s will enjoy a Christmas pudding on December 25th, twice as many as those aged between 18 and 34 (28%).
Some 31 per cent of that age group is more likely to be tucking into chocolate desserts are favoured over Christmas pudding, while a quarter will opt for the less-traditional option of ice cream (24%).
