Wigan Athletic star assisted the winning goal against Birmingham in the Championship.Wyke suffered a cardiac arrest in January during a training session with Wigan, and similarly to Christian Eriksen was fitted with an ICD to hinder any future issues.

But the fairy tale ending occurred for the away side as Wyke made his first appearance since his cardiac arrest, coming on as a substitute in the 70th minute.Wyke's introduction was met with warm applause from both sets of fans, and 12 minutes later he provided the only goal of the game as Wigan snatched all three points.
