Edinburgh dad and Gulf War veteran dies in tragic motorcycle accident in England

Tributes have been pouring in for a beloved Edinburgh dad and grandad who tragically lost his life in a motorcycle crash in England.

Rob Love, 62, was involved in a fatal collision at the A350 West Ashton crossroads on December 17, 2024, between his Yamaha YP 400 and a Volkswagen Taigo.

Born to military parents in England, Rob moved to Edinburgh at a young age where he joined the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards in 1980, serving as a gunner merch for 13 years, including during the Gulf War in 1990.

He later relocated to Warminster where he met his wife Sue in 1987, marrying her the following year and enjoying 37 blissful years together, reports Edinburgh Live.
