Having joined Wanderers last summer as both a player and the club's goalkeeping coach, Gilks inherited first-choice duties in November following Billy Crellin's omission and has established his credentials as Ian Evatt's No.1.
Even the arrival of Lukas Jensen on loan from Burnley has failed to oust Gilks, who despite his age has kept himself in excellent condition to participate in 34 league matches during this campaign.
