Ed Sheeran

Edward Christopher Sheeran, MBE (born 17 February 1991) is an English singer-songwriter. In early 2011, Sheeran independently released the extended play, No. 5 Collaborations Project. After signing with Asylum Records, his debut album, + (pronounced "plus"), was released in September 2011. It topped the UK and Australian charts, reached number five in the US, and has since been certified eight-times platinum in the UK.

The album contains the single "The A Team", which earned him the Ivor Novello Award for Best Song Musically and Lyrically. In 2012, Sheeran won the Brit Awards for Best British Male Solo Artist and British Breakthrough Act. "The A Team" was nominated for Song of the Year at the 2013 Grammy Awards, where he performed the song with Elton John.

Ed Sheeran would be glued to his smartphone and chasing likes.However, Sheeran, one of the world's best-selling musicians, recently admitted he hasn't had a smartphone since 2015 and relies on a retro £60 Nokia brick phone to stay in touch with people.Speaking to The Collector's Edition podcast, Sheeran said that he got "really, really overwhelmed and sad with the phone."I just spent my whole time in a very low place."He complained that when he'd go out with his mates to the pub they'd be more focused on their phones than chatting to him, and that he wishes everyone still had BlackBerrys because they were simpler.

Sheeran said that getting rid of his phone has been amazing for his mental health."It was like a veil just lifted... I didn't so much cut contact with people, I just limit contact with people."Now, I have an email...

and every few days, I'll sit down and open up my laptop and I'll answer 10 emails at a time... and then I'll go back to living life and I don't feel overwhelmed by it."He says he now enjoys 'uninterrupted' bonding time with his close friends and family.

The only time Sheeran broke his phone rule is when the coronavirus pandemic started and he needed a phone for NHS Track and Trace.Sheeran opted for the iconic Nokia 3310 'brick' phone for £60, which has Snake, calls, texts, and not much else.Ed Sheeran is one of the world's most successful musicians, having sold more than 150 million records worldwide.
