EastEnders is lining up tough new scenes for Shirley Carter, which made actress Linda Henry cry. The BBC soap will return with a huge new storyline for the fan favourite, as Shirley is forced to face her past.

Albert Square went off air in June after running out of episodes, after Covid-19 halted filming in March. Fans have since been treated to a number of teasers about what went on during lockdown for Walford residents.

Now, actress Linda has revealed more details about what lies in store for her character over the coming months. Speaking to Stacey Dooley on spin-off series Secrets From The Square, she revealed upcoming plot details made her cry.
