Eamonn Holmes praises wife Ruth Langsford as his 'hero' in emotional birthday tribute

This Morning star Eamonn Holmes has paid an emotional tribute to his wife and co-host Ruth Langsford on her 60th birthday. The TV star praised his wife as his "hero" and admitted he was "not half the person she is".

Husband and wife were speaking to Hello! magazine as Ruth celebrated turning 60. Eamonn, also 60, told the magazine: "Ruth has a lovely attitude to life.

I just stand back in awe and look at her strength and capabilities. "She is an amazing person - I am not half the person she is. "She is my great hero and she has got more into her groove as she has got older." The pair met through a mutual friend in 1997 and married in 2010.
