The DVLA has announced plans for major changes to MOTs and driving licenses. The changes are being considered to bring motoring in the UK into 'the modern age', it has been reported.
According to transport secretary Grant Shapps, the Government is looking to get rid of physical driving licence in exchange for digital ones.
In a tweet, Grant Shapps announced the plans to "move provisional cards online, doing away with paper test certificates & bringing MOTs into the modern age".
