Good Morning Britain doctor Sarah Jarvis has revealed she had a breast cancer scare earlier this year, after attending a breast screening.
Sarah, who is currently replacing Dr Hilary Jones on GMB, told hosts Sean Fletcher and Charlotte Hawkins she was fine, but the experience was scary.
She mentioned it amid the news that research in the UK has suggested lowering the screening age from 50, or 47, to 40 could save more lives a year.
The doctor urged women to attend screenings when invited or enquire about them if they show any symptoms. She shared her own experience from just months ago to encourage others to attend, revealing the team who saw her were amazing.
